PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a garnish to be attached to a vehicle body from warping in its end part by thermal expansion. SOLUTION: In the license garnish in which both surfaces of a plate-shaped substrate 10 are plated with a metal, a license plate is held on one surface side of the plate-shaped substrate 10, and the other surface side is retained to the vehicle body; the thickness of a metal-plated layer formed on one surface of the plate-shaped substrate 10 is made thicker than that of a metal-plated layer formed on the other side surface, and also a laterally long rectangular recessed part 11 is formed in the central part of the one surface of the plate-shaped substrate 10, and in the flat part of the bottom surface of the recessed part 11, a slit-like hole 13 extended in the lateral direction is formed, in plane view.
