PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulation structure of a rail, reducing noise generated from a joint part of a rail by sound insulation material of a simple structure. SOLUTION: Sound insulation materials 10A, 10B are removably fixed to rails 6A, 6B in front and in the rear of the joint part by a fixing member 11 at a space from the side of the joint part between the rails 6A, 6B to reduce noise generated in the joint part between the rails 6A, 6B. The sound insulation materials 10A, 10B are disposed at a space between both side surfaces of the joint part between the rails 6A, 6B and the inside surfaces of the sound insulation materials 10A, 10B, and provided with a sound absorbing material 10a on the inside and a vibration control material 10b on the outside. When a wheel passes on the rails 6A, 6B in front and in the rear of the joint part to vibrate the rails 6A, 6B, the sound absorbing material 10a prevents rolling noise from the rails 6A, 6B from being transmitted to the vibration control material 10b, so that vibration of the vibration control material 10b is reduced and radiating sound from the vibration control material 10b is reduced.
