<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To locate an ONU in an extinction inadequate state simply without costing such much labor that a system maintenance person designates the ONU manually to issue a command of controlling an extinction, etc., and also to reliably isolate the ONU in the extinction inadequate state from a system. <P>SOLUTION: This system includes an OLT 1 which locates an ONU 2 as an ONU in the extinction inadequate state when the ONU 2 to which a temporary extinction instruction command is sent pauses an emission of an optical signal temporarily and the number of linkups increases, and then sends an always extinct instruction command instructing extinction at all times to the ONU 2 concerned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
