<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix display device excellent in gradation reproducibility and capable of suppressing brightness irregularity and to provide a method for driving an active matrix display device. <P>SOLUTION: The active matrix display device includes a plurality of video signal lines, a plurality of pixels having a plurality of driving transistors and a plurality of display elements, and a driving part. The driving part sets a voltage between the gate and the source of the driving transistor to a threshold voltage in a first canceling period T2, storing a video signal voltage into the pixel, the voltage corresponding to the gradation of an image to be displayed in a display element, and displacing the gate potential of the driving transistor in a writing period T3, changing the voltage between the gate and the source of the driving transistor in a second canceling period T4, and outputting a driving signal from the driving transistor to the display element in a displaying period T5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
