PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a loading defect of a sheet discharged on a sheet discharge tray. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus 1 is provided with an image forming part for forming an image on the sheet and the sheet discharge tray 28 on which the image-formed sheet is discharged as a discharged sheet. The image forming apparatus 1 is provided with a control part for setting an amount of sheet to be discharged showing the amount smaller than a load limit of discharged sheets on the sheet discharge tray 28, starting an image forming job and making the image forming part form the images, acquiring the amount of discharged sheet on the sheet discharge tray 28, comparing the acquired amount of the discharged sheet with the set amount of the discharged sheet, and performing at least one of warning about the amount of discharged sheet and stopping of the image forming job, based on the comparison result.
