PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of reducing imbalance in weight. SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine is provided with a rotating shaft 58 rotatably mounted, a core 20 fixed on the rotating shaft 58 and having a permanent magnet embedded therein, and an end plate 29 mounted so as to face an axial end surface of the core. A first refrigerant path 41 is formed on the rotating shaft 58, and a second refrigerant path 43 is formed between the end plate 29 and an axial direction end surface of the core. In the end plate 29, a plurality of discharge ports 44 capable of discharging the refrigerant from the second refrigerant path 43 are formed. A partition wall for partitioning the second refrigerant path into a plurality of spaces is formed inside the second refrigerant path 43, and the discharge ports 44 each communicate to any one of the spaces. Further, a reverse flow blocking valve is provided to adjust the flow rate of the refrigerant to be discharged from the discharge ports 44 so as to improve the uniformity of the refrigerant amount included inside the plurality of spaces.
