PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid obstacle of processing resulting from a failure of a device by a simple monitoring process. SOLUTION: This device monitoring device includes a means 1 which monitors a failure of the device, and a watchdog timer 2 which forcibly sends a hard reset when a clearing process of a timer is not performed in a predetermined time period. The monitoring means 1 performs the clearing process of the watchdog timer 2 when an access process of the device 5 has succeeded. When the monitoring means 1 detects a failure of the device 5, a separation means 3 receives the hard reset sent from the watchdog timer 2 and separates the access process to the device 5 in the execution of a process 6 where the failure is detected.
