PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entrance/exit device of an elevator capable of more surely detecting starting of traveling of a car in a state of a thin string-shaped foreign matter nipped between elevator doors. SOLUTION: Openings 5a and 12a are provided in upper frames 5 and 12. The openings 5a and 12a are provided in a portion opposed to a door stop side end part of the elevator door of a full door close state. In the upper frames 5 and 12, a detection switch 21 for detecting the string-shaped foreign matter pinched between the elevator doors is provided. The detection switch 21 has a contact bar 22 arranged to face the openings 5a and 12a. The detection switch 21 is operated by displacement of the contact bar 22 by the foreign matter entering the upper frames 5 and 12 from the openings 5a and 12a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
