PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a bookbinding machine which reciprocates a single clamper, wherein the machine has a transferring mechanism, a clamper, and an adhesive applying mechanism that are stable enough to deal with PUR-based hot melt with a thin coating layer, and is structured so as to accurately reflect detailed settings set at a control side. SOLUTION: The bookbinding machine has a linearly moving device which guides the clamper with two upper and lower rails and uses a ball screw as the transferring mechanism, thereby removing unstable factors during the transfer of the clamper and allowing the detailed settings of speed and termination time to be reflected accurately. Further, the adhesive applying mechanism is a spray nozzle type in which the adhesive does not come in contact with the atmosphere. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
