RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE AND PNEUMATIC TIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tires capable of enhancing rolling resistance while improving workability. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tires is obtained by blending a diene rubber with chaff charcoal powder and an epoxidized vegetable oil. The rubber composition preferably contains 1-80 pts.wt. of the chaff charcoal powder and 1-30 pts.wt. of the epoxidized vegetable oil (e.g., epoxidized soybean oil), based on 100 pts.wt. of the diene rubber. The chaff charcoal powder preferably contains 30-90 wt.% of a silicon dioxide component and 60-5 wt.% of a carbon component. The diene rubber preferably comprises a modified natural rubber having a polar group (e.g., epoxidized natural rubber) or a blend of the modified natural rubber and another diene rubber.
