PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous film which has shutdown property, is excellent in permeability and processability and shows excellent characteristics when used as a separator. SOLUTION: The porous film has a coating layer comprising particles 0.8-10μm in diameter on a surface of a film comprising a porous polypropylene film as a substrate.
