PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a video information reproducing apparatus which is capable of quickly terminating a skip-disabled reproduction part, without having to make separate storage information stored in a video information storage medium. SOLUTION: A video information reproducing part 13 acquires whether reproduction parts can be skipped and be fast-forwarded or not. A control part 15 acquires whether reproduction parts can be skipped and be fast-forwarded or not, which is acquired by the video information reproducing part 13, and upon reception of an operation signal for skip from an operation input part and when this reproduction part cannot be skipped and can be fast forwarded at that time, the control part 15 reads out prescribed image data from a storage part 16 to not only instruct the video information reproducing part 13 to fast forward a reproduction part at this point of time but also instruct a video signal processing part 14 to output a video signal having contents of the prescribed image data.
