PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert power line communication data into operation setting data to make operation setting based on the operation setting data converted from the power line communication data, thereby facilitating the operation setting. SOLUTION: A serial-PLC conversion part 101 converts PLC data received via a power line 107 into serial data for making the operation setting of a main communication part 105. A control part 104 makes the operation setting of the main communication part 105 based on the serial data converted from the PLC data by the serial-PLC conversion part 101. The main communication part 105 transmits and receives information between the main communication part and the other communication apparatuses via a communication network 300 based on the operation setting made by the control part 104.
