PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine system including a cylinder block movement type variable compression ratio engine with almost no leakage of blow-by gas from between a crank case and a cylinder block of the variable compression ratio engine during the operation. SOLUTION: The engine system comprises the variable compression ratio engine 10 sealed by a seal member 12a, formed with a suction hole at a lower part of the seal member 12a, and equipped with the cylinder block 12, an intake pipe 19 connected to a cylinder head 11 of the variable compression ratio engine 10, and a suction pipe 16 connecting the suction hole and the intake pipe 19 (a downstream part of a throttle).
