PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicular engine making adjustment for reducing loss of kinetic energy of a vehicle and improving fuel economy without consciousness of a driver by correcting accelerator opening quantity or throttle valve operation quantity according to a travel condition right before an accelerator is stepped back. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a correction means 5 including an opening gradual reduction means 6 inhibiting change of the accelerator opening quantity or the throttle valve operation quantity by time, and a comparison means 7 acquiring the accelerator opening quantity or the throttle valve operation quantity as first input, and acquiring the accelerator opening quantity or the throttle valve operation quantity treated by the opening gradual reduction means 6 as second input, comparing the first input and the second input, and outputting the larger value as the accelerator opening quantity after correction or the throttle valve opening quantity after correction.
