PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aliphatic polyimide oligomer having melt-molding property, heat curable into an optically active transparent polyimide with thermal cracking temperature reaching nearly 500°C. SOLUTION: The optically active polyimide oligomer contains optically active (1R,2R)-(+)-1,2-cyclohexanediamine or (1S,2S)-(-)-1,2-cyclohexanediamine as an aliphatic diamine and crosslink reactive groups on both ends.
