<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover lift-up type memory card connector having improved fixing performance when lifting up a metal cover at a selective angle, while avoiding the deformation of an insulating base in high-temperature environment. <P>SOLUTION: The cover lift-up type memory card connector includes the insulating base 1 for storing a memory card, and the metal cover 2 to be lifted up in the state of facing the insulating base 1. A connecting structure between the insulating base 1 and the metal cover 2 is improved into such an engaging structure that the insulating base 1 and the metal cover 2 are not pressed against each other with sandwiching operation. An extension groove 172 is provided in a slender rotation regulating groove 17 of the insulating base 1, and an extending protruded portion 231 facing the extension groove 17 is provided inside a rotation regulating protruded portion 23 of the metal cover 2. Thus, when the connector passes through a soldering process in high-temperature environment, a thermal stress trouble of the insulating base 1 is avoided, and when the metal cover 2 is lifted up, the extension protruded portion 231 of the metal cover 2 generates the interference force of the top inner wall of the slender rotation regulating groove 17, resulting in improved fixing performance when lifting up the metal cover 2 at a selective angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
