<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect translated words, which are registered in a user dictionary, to translated sentences even if translation examples of an example dictionary are applied to the translated sentences. <P>SOLUTION: A machine translation device includes: an example dictionary 30 which records translation examples which form the pairs of a first language and second language; a user dictionary 31 which records words and phrases, which are not registered in a system dictionary, with the first and second languages; an example dictionary retrieval part 25 which retrieves translation examples from the example dictionary 30 by using, as a search key, original sentences designated by an input part 16; a user dictionary retrieval part 26 which retrieves words registered in the user dictionary from the original sentences of the translation examples retrieved by the example dictionary retrieval part 25; and a translation part 23 which determines whether the translated words registered in the user dictionary are used in the translated sentences of the translation examples, and appends identification information to the corresponding words and phrases of the original sentences and translated sentences, when the translated words registered in the user dictionary are not used, to display them on a display part 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
