ELECTRONIC COMPONENT HOLDER, STRUCTURE FOR INSERTING LEAD TERMINAL INTO SUBSTRATE AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENT ASSEMBLY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component holder for smoothly inserting lead terminals of electronic components into a terminal inserting holes of a circuit board and preventing the easier application of stress to the lead terminals even in an environment at a large temperature change, and to provide a structure for inserting lead terminals into a substrate and an electronic component assembly using the same holder. SOLUTION: A synthetic resin holder 5 set on a circuit board 20 includes terminal inserting guides 6 for inserting lead terminals 2 arranged on an electronic component 1 to corresponding terminal inserting holes 21. The terminal inserting guides 6 include sloping wall surfaces 8 having elevation angles with respect to the circuit board 20 that is smaller than 90 degrees and a plurality of concave channels 10 extended to become narrower toward the terminal inserting holes 21 with the sloping wall surface 8 used as the bottom surface and the arrangement of these channels 10 is matched with that of the lead terminals 2. The lead terminals 2 inserted into the channels 10 from the upper part are guided to the terminal inserting holes 21 and the lead terminals 2 inserted by a predetermined amount into the terminal inserting holes 21 are isolated from the concave channels 10 while being engaged with the lower edge of the sloping wall surface 8.
