Class 40 (8) The winding 10 of a magneto-strictive vibrator is connected in a series branch of a quadripole filter network whose shunt branches include reactances 3, 6, a tapping on the winding being connected through an additional reactance 16 to the ends of the shunt reactances remote from the winding 10. A suitable choice of the reactance 16 causes wider spacing of the damping frequencies of the filter. The position of the tapping and the value of the reactance 16 may be so chosen that the latter effectively replaces one of the reactances 3, 6, which is therefore dispensed with. |
