PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete automatic storage of a boom in a short period of time without giving a feeling of anxiety to a worker and to reduce loss of motive power of a hydraulic pump. SOLUTION: This automatic boom storage device of a vehicle for high lift work has a storage control part to store the boom at a storing position (boom rest) on a vehicle body by carrying out feeding and discharging control of hydraulic oil to a revolving motor, a boom hoisting cylinder and an expansion cylinder in accordance with an automatic storage instruction of the boom from an automatic storage switch and a position computing part to compute a starting position of boom hoisting motion in accordance with a boom hoisting angle detected by a boom hoisting angle detector. Thereafter, the storage control part starts the boom hoisting motion by gradually increasing a flow rate of the hydraulic oil to supply to the boom hoisting cylinder when automatic storage of the boom is instructed by the automatic storage switch and it is detected that a boom revolving angle detected by a revolving angle detector reaches the starting position of the boom hoisting motion computed by the position computing part (for example, either one of first to third starting positions P1 to P3).
