PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof molding mounting structure capable of suppressing the float or detachment of a roof molding. SOLUTION: A side surface of a first longitudinal wall 5W1 opposite to the side on which a paint seal Ps is present forms an inverse surface Fi inward of the groove width direction toward an open side of a recessed groove. The rigidity of a second lip 14 opposite to a first lip 13 is set to be smaller than that of the first lip 13 abutted on the inverse surface Fi of a roof molding 10. The first lip 13 is pressed against the inverse surface Fi by a reaction force received by the second lip 14 from a second longitudinal wall 5W2, the first lip 13 is locked by the inverse surface Fi, and a supporting projection 16 abutted on the first longitudinal wall 5W1 on the open side of the recessed groove 5 from the first lip 13 is formed on a body of the roof molding 10.
