PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the binding efficiency of a stapler by attaching staples for replenishment to the stapler to reduce the number of loadings of staple bock. SOLUTION: This stapler 90 binds a member to be bound by driving a staple 101 therethrough by a driver 5 and a clincher 56. The stapler 90 includes a casing 111 in which a staple block 102S formed of staples in block shape is contained, a lifting and traversing device 112 for moving the staple bock to an empty space allowing the staple block to be supplied to the driver 5, and upstream and downstream side staple feed rollers 77, 69 for feeding the staple block to the driver 5.
