PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant voltage circuit of generating a constant voltage free from temperature dependency, by a circuit capable of achieveing easily low current consumption design, while preventing a circuit scale from getting large. SOLUTION: An inverse temperature characteristic generating circuit 12 decreases an output voltage V<SB>out</SB>by a voltage V<SB>GS</SB>, to be supplied to a temperature characteristic generating circuit 11 as a voltage VA. The temperature characteristic generating circuit 11 includes a differential amplification circuit 211 to be input with a terminal voltage V<SB>AP</SB>between resistances R<SB>22</SB>and R<SB>23</SB>and an emitter voltage V<SB>AM</SB>of a bipolar transistor T<SB>21</SB>, and to output a control signal VC. An operation of the circuit is stable when the terminal voltages V<SB>AP</SB>and V<SB>AM</SB>are equal each other. The temperature characteristic of the voltage VA in the stable operation is reverse to the temperature characteristic of the voltage V<SB>GS</SB>, to be canceled each other, and the constant voltage V<SB>out</SB>independent of a temperature is output thereby.
