<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance ink absorption, glossiness, and photographic imaging properties, and to inhibit bronzing/fragility of an ink receptive layer after recording with the use of a pigmented ink. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet recording medium for pigmented ink has: a first ink receptive layer containing a gas phase silica and a water-soluble binder; and a second ink receptive layer containing a first latex with higher glass transition temperature T<SP>1</SP>than drying blast temperature T during drying after being imparted to the surface of a support and a second ink receptive layer containing a second latex with lower glass transition temperature T<SP>2</SP>than the drying blast temperature T, formed in that order from the support side, on the surface of the support of the inkjet recording medium. At least, either one of the first latex and the second latex, is a PVA-containing latex obtained by polymerizing a monomer in the presence of a water-soluble polymer containing a polyvinyl alcohol. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
