PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid culture medium having excellent operation efficiency, and preventing microbial growth deterioration due to caking after moisture absorption by reducing the hygroscopicity. SOLUTION: The solid culture medium comprises saccharides as an active ingredient. In the solid culture medium, the saccharides are anhydrous saccharides such as anhydrous glucose. The solid culture medium has the excellent operation efficiency and is capable of preventing the microbial growth deterioration due to the caking after the moisture absorption.
