PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination control apparatus in which control of an illumination device is directed by speech. SOLUTION: A recognition conversion section 3 extracts a vocabulary registered in a recognition vocabulary retaining section 2 from speech which is input to a speech input section 1. In a recognition conversion section 3, the vocabulary is stored in a control object storage section 4, when the vocabulary extracted from the recognition vocabulary retaining section 2 is a control object, and the vocabulary is stored in an action storage section 5, when the vocabulary extracted from the recognition vocabulary retaining section 2 is operation of the control object. A control section 6 controls the illumination device by generating a control signal of a control content indicated by the vocabulary stored in each section, with making it a trigger that a content of either of the control object storage section 4 or the action storage section 5 is updated. The recognition conversion section 3 extracts each vocabulary in a registering order for each predetermined period, when a first vocabulary for control is extracted from the recognition vocabulary retaining section 2, stores it in either of the control object storage section 4 or the action storage section 5, and stops extraction of the vocabulary from the recognition vocabulary retaining seciton 2, when a second vocabulary for control is extracted.
