PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polymer fine particle, which efficiently produces a polymer fine particle having an average particle diameter controlled to≤10μm. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polymer fine particle comprises mixing a water phase with a monomer-containing oil phase and atomizing the mixture to give a suspension and polymerizing the suspension to give a polymer fine particle. The method has the following atomization process 1 and atomization process 2. The atomization process 1 is a process for using a circulation line for taking out a part of a suspension in a polymerization reaction vessel and circulating it in a system, an atomizer attached to the circulation line and an apparatus having an oil-phase line for feeding the oil phase to the atomizer and carrying out atomization while feeding the oil phase to the atomizer. The atomization process 2 is a process for increasing the circulation flow rate of the suspension twice as much as that of the atomization process 1 and further carrying out the atomization after the completion of the atomization process 1.
