PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial gap motor that increases the output of a motor, utilizing reluctance torque effectively, and also can stably rotate a motor smoothly by reducing torque ripple and cogging torque. SOLUTION: The axial gap motor 10 includes a rotor 11, that rotate around a rotating shaft O, and a pair of stators 12, which are counterposed to catch the rotor 11 from both sides in the direction of the rotating shaft. The rotor 11 includes a rotor frame 33, which includes a shaft section 35 and a rim section 36 which are connected integrally via a plurality of ribs 34 extended in its radial direction, and magnetic material pole sections 32A, 32B and 32C, which are different in magnetic saliency of magnetic resistors that are arranged in its circumferential direction, being accommodated between the shaft section 35 and the rim section 36.
