Disclosed is a lubricant composition for refrigerating machines, which is obtained by blending an acid trapping agent into a base oil. Also disclosed is a compressor using such a lubricant composition for refrigerating machines. The acid trapping agent is composed of a polyalkylene glycol derivative represented by the following formula (1): R1-[(OR2)e-OR3]f (1) , and the base oil is composed of at least one substance selected from polyvinyl ethers, polyalkylene glycols and ether compounds represented by the following formula (2).
