The device has a movement generator (50), which shifts a product in a stop condition locally in motion relative to a fuel cell unit (1). The product remains in the stop condition in the fuel cell unit to avoid freezing of the product. The movement generator has a vibration exciter, which shifts the product in oscillation. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a fuel cell unit, particularly for fuel cell vehicles or fuel cell device; and (2) a method for prevention or reduction of ice formations of electro-chemically converted product such as water, particularly remainder of the product in a fuel cell unit during an energy transformation.
