<p>A catheter (10) whereby a pain or a burden on a patient can be reduced. In the catheter (10) and a catheter kit, an inflatable/deflatable balloon (50) is attached to the tip end (27) of an introducing tube (20) for preventing drop-out and inserted into the body using an insertion assisting bar (60) through which a guide wire (W) can be passed; the introducing tube (20) is provided with a main lumen (21), into which the insertion assisting bar (60) is to be inserted in the step of inserting the catheter body (11) into the body, and a sub lumen (25) for supplying a fluid into the balloon (50); the balloon (50) is in the shape of a rubber balloon and so attached to the tip end (27) of the introducing tube (20) as to extend outward from the tip end (27), and has a lead-out tube channel (51), which is located outside the lead-out port (28) at the tip end of the introducing tube (20) and to which the lead-out port (28) is connected when inflated, and a receiver part (500) for receiving and holding the tip end (63) of the insertion assisting bar (60) in the outer periphery (52); and the receiver part (500) has a guide wire pathway (520) for passing the guide wire (W) to the tip end (63) of the insertion assisting bar (60).</p> |
