THERMOELECTRIC MATERIALS, THERMOELECTRIC ELEMENTS, AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

A novel thermoelectric material is described which comprises a matrix of In2O3 with regions of In2Ge2O7 dispersed therein. Methods are also described for forming such material. In one such method a particulate material which comprises a mixture of particulate In2O3 and particulate GeO2 is subjected the mixture to a comminution process, for example by ball milling. In another, a gel is formed and then destabilised to form a particulate material.
