The invention relates to peptides of general formula (I) wherein X is absent or X is present and is X14 or X14-X15 wherein X14 y X15 independently represent an amino acid, to the variants and functional fragments of said peptides, and to the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. Said peptides can bind to scurfin and inhibit its biological activity by regulating or bocking the activity of the regulating T lymphocytes (Treg). The invention can be used in the treatment of infectious and neoplastic illnesses.
