<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup including a spherical aberration-correcting mechanism with a simple configuration and automatically restoring the mechanism to a normal state from an abnormal state. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup includes: a plurality of aberration-correcting lenses 42, 44; a movable part 43 which holds at least one aberration-correcting lens 44 among the aberration-correcting lenses; a fixing part 41 in which the movable part 43 is slidably arranged and which holds the aberration-correcting lens 42; shafts 412, 413 which support the movable part rotatably about the axis thereof and slidably in the axial direction; a feed screw 45 equipped with spiral grooves, both sides of the feed screw having column parts 451, 452 on which spiral grooves are not formed; an engaging part 433 equipped with female screw-shaped engaging grooves which engage with the spiral grooves from one direction; a coil spring 46 which is externally fit to the shaft and presses the movable part in the axial direction; and an elastic part 47 for restoration which is arranged on the opposite side of the coil spring 46 across the movable part 43 and presses the movable part when the movable part 43 reaches the limit of its movement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
