<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fluorinated nanodiamond dispersion usable as an abrasive material, a lubricant and a heat exchanging fluid medium or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the fluorinated nanodiamond dispersion comprises a purifying step of producing the fluorinated nanodiamond dispersion wherein a suspension of a fluorinated nanodiamond is produced by mixing the fluorinated nanodiamond and a ≤4C alcohol and the mixture is subjected to an ultrasonic dispersion to produce a suspension and the obtained suspension is subjected to a classification treatment by a centrifugal separation, a drying step of producing a dried fluorinated nanodiamond by removing the alcohol from the fluorinated nanodiamond dispersion obtained at the purification step and a re-dispersing step of producing the fluorinated nanodiamond dispersion wherein the dried fluorinated nanodiamond obtained at the drying step and a non-protonic polar solvent are mixed and the mixture is subjected to ultrasonic dispersion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
