<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus capable of efficiently switching communication channels. <P>SOLUTION: A wireless communication apparatus 1 forming a first wireless communication system BSS includes frame transmission and reception units 11 and 12, an interference signal monitoring unit 14 for monitoring whether an interference signal being a signal other than signals for use in communication in the first wireless communication system BSS exists in a first communication channel CH-1, and a control unit 13 for selecting a second communication channel CH-2 and a third communication channel CH-3 different from the first communication channel CH-1. Upon detection of an interference signal in the first communication channel CH-1, the transmission and reception unit 12 transmits an instruction frame which includes information on the second and third communication channels CH-2 and CH-3 and instructs a wireless communication terminal to switch from the first communication channel CH-1 to the second and third communication channels CH-2 and CH-3, to the wireless communication terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
