PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector in which a ferrule is simply, firmly and accurately held in a plug. SOLUTION: The optical connector 10 has: the ferrule 20 which holds a multi-core optical fiber 100; the plug 21 which holds the ferrule 20; a guide pin 23; and a spacer 22 which is integrally fixed to the ferrule 20 and held in the plug 21 by inserting a pin 23 into the ferrule 20. The ferrule 20 has, for example, recessed parts 51 and 52 serving as first positioning parts, and the spacer 22 has, for example, recessed parts 61 and 62 serving as second positioning parts for positioning the ferrule 20 and the spacer 22 by engaging the second positioning parts to the first positioning parts.
