PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor excellent in a high temperature durability and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The temperature sensor has: a thermosensitive body 14 having a thermosensitive element 2 which varies electric performance according to temperature; a sheathed pin containing a pair of signal wires connected with a pair of electrode wires 21 respectively in a state exposed at the tip side of sheathed pin; and a cover arranged at the tips of the sheathed pin so as to cover the thermosensitive element 2. The thermosensitive body 14 has the thermosensitive element 2, and an inside protection layer 51 and an outside protection layer 52 for sealing the thermosensitive element 2 together with a part of electrode wires 21. When the thermal expansion coefficients of the thermosensitive element 2, the electrode wires 21, the inside protection layer 51 and the outer protection layer 52 are set k1, k2, k3 and k4 respectively, following expressions: ¾k1-k3¾<¾k1-k2¾ and ¾k2-k4¾<¾k2-k3¾, are satisfied.
