PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a cam housing reduced in the number of processes while maintaining the weight reduction of a cam housing. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the cam housing includes a process arranging solid reinforcement members 50 for reinforcing stiffness of the cam housing 10 after molding in a die for manufacturing the cam housing 10 and casting the same, a process forming a hole for supporting a camshaft on a molded component after casting, and a process removing the reinforcement member 50 from the cam housing 10 after forming the hole.
