It is intended to provide a surgical instrument by which the position of a vessel can be recognized by hearing blood flow sound during a thoracoscope- or laparoscope-assisted surgery. One end of a tubular member is introduced into the body and the tubular member is brought into contact with a tissue while blocking a first opening thereof. Thus, the sound of the tissue being in contact with the end of the tubular member and the sound within the tissue are collected by a corn member which is provided in the first opening and has a microphone at the sharp edge. In a thoracoscope- or laparoscope-assisted surgery, a surgical operator hears the sounds and, thus can use his/her acoustic sense in place of the tactile sense. In the case of recognizing the position of a vessel in the tissue, namely, the blood flow sounds in the vessels located within a tissue can be collected merely by bringing one end of the tubular member into contact with the tissue so long as there are vessels in the neighborhood of the contact site. By hearing the blood flow sounds thus collected, the operator can recognize the vessel positions. That is, the position of a vessel can be accurately recognized even though it is embedded in fat.
|
