<p>A cold starting device and method for ethanol engines, and the device includes an engine cylinder head, a heater (5), a cold starting indicator light (3), an electromagnetic valve (4), a water temperature sensor (7) and a heater temperature sensor (6). The heater (5) is set on the cylinder head and near the spark plug (10), and the heater (5), the electromagnetic valve (4), the cold starting indicator light (3), an accumulator (1) and a key switch are connected in a series circuit. An engine electronic control unit (8) can judge whether the device should be started through reading the temperature sent by the water temperature sensor (7). And when the temperature sent by the water temperature sensor is lower than 15°C, the engine electronic control unit (8) will switch on the electromagnetic valve (4). When the key switch is closed, the circuit will be switched on, and the temperature of the heater (5) will raise to 700°C within 10 seconds by the accumulator energy and the air in the cylinder will be heated at the same time. So the ignition in low temperature is realized successfully.</p> |
