PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for prophylaxis and/or therapy of periodontal diseases comprising a compound etc., derived from a crude drug as an active ingredient.

SOLUTION: The composition for the prophylaxis and/or therapy of the periodontal diseases includes at least one or more kinds of compounds represented by formula (I) (wherein, R1and R2represent each independently a 3C-5C straight-chain or branched chain substituted or un-substituted alkyl group or alkenyl group; and R'1and R'2represent each independently a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group or a 1C-3C alkoxy group).
