<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high definition light-emitting apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting apparatus has a first substrate provided with an insulator region covering a region on one edge portion of a first electrode, a region on one edge portion of a second electrode neighboring the one edge portion of the first electrode and a region between the one edge portion of the first electrode and the one edge portion of the second electrode, a first light-emitting layer formed on the first electrode and the insulator region, a second light-emitting layer formed on the second electrode and the insulator region and a second substrate which faces the first substrate and is provided with a color filter. The first light-emitting layer and the second light-emitting layer overlap each other on the insulator region and the first electrode, and the color filter has a first coloring layer provided to face the first light-emitting layer, a second coloring layer, and a light-shielding portion provided between the first coloring layer and the second coloring layer to face a region where the first light-emitting layer and the second light-emitting layer overlap each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
