<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner replenishing apparatus that allows a toner replenishing container to be easily removed and makes contributions to downsizing of an image forming apparatus, and to provide an image forming apparatus having the toner replenishing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The toner replenishing apparatus 50 has displacement mechanisms 80 for displacing the toner replenishing containers 1 to 4 from the positions where the toner replenishment containers 1 to 4 are held by container holding members 51. The displacement mechanisms 80 include hook portions 56 formed, for example, in retaining members 52 to 55, and engagement portions 58 formed in the toner replenishing containers 1 to 4.
