PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for converting rotational motion into linear motion capable of reducing the length in the axial direction as the whole converting mechanism, while preventing restriction from being placed on a maximum moving distance of a sun shaft. SOLUTION: The mechanism for converting the rotational motion into the linear motion transmits force by meshing of a ring gear 112 and a female screw 114, and a planetary gear 132 and a male screw 134 between a ring shaft 101 and a planetary shaft 103 when converted into linear motion of the sun shaft 102 from rotary motion of the ring shaft 101, and transmits the force by meshing of the planetary gear 132 and the male screw 134, and a sun gear 122 and a male screw 124 between the planetary shaft 103 and the sun shaft 102. Only a single gear 132 is arranged between an end on the connection part 127 side and the male screw 134 as the planetary gear on the planetary shaft 103. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
