The drive (1) has an activated axle (2) which is connected to a mechanical drive chain (4) and a regenerative hydraulic brake system (8). Two independent axles (13, 16) are connected to the regenerative hydraulic brake system by two hydrostatic reciprocating engines (12, 15), where the hydrostatic reciprocating engines are adjustable. The regenerative hydraulic brake system is connected additionally with the mechanical drive chain by a hydrostatic reciprocating engine (50) which is adjustable. The engine (50) is connectable to the engines (12, 15) by a valve block (9) to form a closed loop.
