<p>The brake system comprises a brake mechanism which uses an active material and compensates for wear. An active material has a controlled degree of expansion and tension. A ferromagnetic alloying change of shape is used as an actuator which is made of an active material to generate expansion and tension. A magnetostrictive material is used as an actuator. A piezo-electric material is also used as the actuator to generate expansion and tension.</p> |
