PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacked secondary battery reducing coming off of an active material from a positive electrode and a negative electrode and mixing of it to them, preventing failure of self discharge and short circuit, and facilitate the sure arrangement of a positive active material layer on the inside of a negative active material layer. SOLUTION: In the stacked secondary battery formed by stacking a square sheet-like positive electrode 3 in which a positive active material layer is formed on a positive current collector and a square sheet-like negative electrode 2 in which a negative active material layer is formed on a negative current collector through a separator 4, the positive electrode 3 is arranged between two separators 4 at equal intervals, a weld part 5 is formed in the two separators 4 in the three side peripheries other than the drawn out part of the terminal of the positive electrode 3, and the two separators 4 in which the positive electrode 3 is arranged hold the negative electrode 2 between them in a zigzag pattern.
