PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a bulk data transfer speed when isochronous data transfer and bulk transfer are performed in parallel. SOLUTION: A navigation device 10 connects a music reproduction electronic appliance 30 via a USB controller 14 used only for host setting and a portable telephone 50 via a USB controller 15 capable of switching host/device settings. When music data are acquired by isochronous transfer from the music reproduction electronic appliance 30 and character data are acquired by bulk transfer from the portable telephone 50, the USB controller 15 for character data reception are switched to device setting from host setting and a portable USB controller 55 of the portable telephone 50 is switched from the device setting to the host setting. When a write request and write data from the portable telephone 50 are received, the data are transferred to a RAM 13 by a navigation MPU 11 on the side of a navigator 10.
